Reform of the Standards Institute is underway. The computerized system for importing into Israel Will lead to the opening of competition in the field launched with the presence of finance and economic ministers. This is an annual saving of NIS 550 million per year.

From now on, all the data collected by the testing laboratories will be fed into one computerized system. Jacob Wachtel, who is in charge of standardization at the Ministry of Economics and Industry, will be able to supervise at any given moment the shipments arriving in Israel and the various processes.
The new system is simple and easy to operate, it accompanies the user during the entire process of release and approval of the goods. The system contains all the information in the process and presents the user with the release track of the goods and the appropriate testing regime.
