The Histadrut, the management of the Perrigo Yerucham pharmaceutical factory and representatives of the workers 'workers' committee signed a special collective agreement that regulates the terms of employment and wages of the workers and workers, after the sale of the plant being fabricated is completed.
Negotiations on the agreement prior to completion of the sale are intended to ensure the workers' rights in a continuous manner upon completion of the transaction. Only a month ago, the company's management announced the withdrawal of the agreements between the parties regarding the sale. The chairman of the Histadrut in the central Negev region, Armond Lankri, declared a labor dispute on the matter and now, after the conclusion of the negotiation process and the signing of the agreement to the satisfaction of the parties and in full cooperation, an agreement was signed, inter alia, that the rights of the workers of the plant under the collective agreement will be fully preserved with the transfer Ownership of the plant.
At the top of the agreements between the parties it was determined that all the rights of the workers and employees will be preserved at the time of the sale of the enterprise, including the collective agreements and all the arrangements that were in effect prior to the sale. With the sale of the sale to the workers all workers will receive a sale grant of up to 70 thousand shekels according to seniority - and a total of about 10 million.
The management of the factory declares in the agreement its commitment to the plant and the R & D center in Yeruham and that it has no intention of relocating or reducing the activities of the plant in Yeruham over the next five years.
It was further agreed in the framework of the collective agreement that the existing collective agreement period will be extended by an additional two years until March 31, 2021, and that permanent employees will receive a salary increment of 4.25% per annum.
"We managed to preserve the rights of the workers and even improved the terms of employment. The workers at the Yeruham plants are the growth engine of the community. It was important for us to preserve the workers' rights and improve their economic situation. I wish the new employer success and continued fruitful cooperation in favor of Yeruham and the Negev, which, as we know, are not full of workplaces. "
Acting Chairman of the Food and Pharmaceutical Workers Union Eliezer Blue said: "After intensive and intensive negotiations, we succeeded in reaching agreements that would benefit all parties and ensure the welfare of the dedicated employees of Perrigo in the future. Members of the committee for their determination to achieve their goals. "
"After a difficult period, we can breathe a sigh of relief and welcome the fact that we reached an agreement that benefits all employees," said Haim Ben-Abu, chairman of the workers committee. This factory is the pearl of Yeruham and serves as the main and main work place in the community. We have a glorious industry in Yeruham and we are here to ensure its existence. The industry in Yeruham can and should prosper. We have employees and residents and wonderful people here. I thank the Histadrut for honoring the committee's demands and signing the agreement. "
